How Cinesomatics® Works
Discover “The 4 Pillars” of this sui generis process that facilitate deep transformation
Video
Video is at the heart of Cinesomatics, and acts as the most accurate, unbiased mirror for how we are really showing up.
By recording and viewing the playback of movements, participants are able to validate feedback from the group or facilitators by seeing it in themselves for themselves. Once we see ourselves do the behavior, it moves from the unconscious to the conscious realm—and we are then held accountable to it.
This is the beginning of the end of the story, and the doorway towards freedom and peace.
Movement
“How you do one thing is how you do anything”—how you move through the space in your body is how you move through the world symbolically and literally.
Cinesomatics uses the movement of the body to expose a client’s complete “psychosomatic landscape”, revealing the unconscious patterns that run us. Movement acts as “the world’s ultimate lie detector” and helps us see past the stories and lies we tell ourselves.
Clients are able to penetrate emotional and psychological stories through the body—often without the need for conscious understanding.
Feeling
Cinesomatics is an invitation out of the “thinking-head” and back into the “feeling-body”—it is a reversal of mind-superiority.
We begin to cultivate a relationship with the intelligence of the body—and its access to intuition—rather than sole-reliance on the intellect of the mind.
Feeling-based awareness is a way of experiencing, observing, sensing, processing, exploring, connecting, and communicating through body-feeling—as compared to doing it from our head or sterilizing it to be void of feeling. This results in access to a tremendous amount of information not available when we are “in our heads”.
Feedback
“Know thyself” and “the truth will set you free” are maxims that summarize the role of feedback in Cinesomatics.
Without feedback from accurate, external sources, we are unable to make new choices and grow in new ways. This work offers feedback via facilitators, group participants, and from video replays in order to help the client see the truth about how they’re showing up in life.
Ideally, feedback is given without judgment, attack, agenda, projection, withholding, manipulation, or drama—and is received without taking it personally, giving it meaning, defending, or dismissing.
